Dassai Blue is the first US-made premium sake brand from Asahi Shuzo Brewery in Japan and launched a 671,000 square foot site area. The brewery produces only upscale Junmai Daiginjo sake made with Yamada Nishiki rice – the gold standard for sake production – and utilizes “craft” methods — making sake batch by batch, koji by hand, and then fermenting in small tanks.
About The Position
We are seeking a tasting room server who has the passion and drive to oversee the many facets of our Tasting Room. Candidates must be professional, articulate, hard-working who can handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and with a strong logistical and sales sense. The position requires an outgoing, well organized, self-motivated person who is always seeking high standards in quality. This person will also be a disciplined individual who is focused on the customer's experience.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude toward our customers
- Learning about our sake, sharing our story and helping customers with their selection
- Serving customers full service from start to finish, which includes taking orders, serving food and pouring sake and checking out
- Opening and closing our tasting room
- Cleaning and organizing
- Restocking inventory
- Assisting with retail purchases
- Communicate with guests, co-workers, and business associates in a courteous and professional manner. Must be people and hospitality oriented
- Ability to regularly work weekends and most holidays
- Any other duties assigned by your manager
Qualifications
- Experience in a tasting room, restaurant, and bar preferred
- Passion for sake, wine and customer service
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
- Must be 18 or older.
