JOB SUMMARY :
This is a summer internship in our manufacturing engineering department. The intern will study the machine processes of detail part creation as well as the supporting activities : material supply chain, load forecasting, quality assurance, etc. The intern will propose processes to allow for agile part manufacturing on multiple machines.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) :
- Demonstrate an understanding of the aircraft component production processes for detailed parts.
- Identify parts manufacturing that will require new universal holding fixtures.
- Propose processes to allow for agile manufacturing that are acceptable to quality assurance and supply chain tools and processes.
