Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related from an accredited university.
- Good understanding of Engineering Mechanics of Materials.
- Working knowledge of CAD or related engineering software.
- Good communication skills – both verbal and written
- Proficient in computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Previous internship in aircraft industry
- Familiar with EASA / FAA requirements for Part 25 aircraft.
- Knowledge of CATIA V5, V6, or 3D Experience
- Previous internship in applied stress engineering.
- Familiar with Elfini, NASTRAN, ALGOR or Industry Accepted Finite Element Software
- Build CATIA V5 / Elfini Finite Element models and perform comprehensive stress analysis to ensure the strength of the interior structure meets applicable requirements.
- Review design models to ensure structural adequacy of design through hand calculations and good engineering judgment.
- Coordinate with design office to improve designs for cost and weight reduction, and to ensure applicable regulations are met.
- Write comprehensive and clear stress reports with guidance from the Team Leader or mentor.
- Participate in technical discussions with Certification Teams in order to ensure final stress report validation.
