The Opportunity
DAT is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead our eCommerce, Billing, Identity & Access Management, and Customer systems. This critical leadership role will drive the next phase of DAT's growth as we harness data and technology to intelligently connect all players in the freight industry.
Role Overview
As Director of Product Management, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of some of our most essential platform capabilities. You will mentor and manage a team of product managers tasked with optimizing core systems that power our eCommerce growth and overall business operations. Working closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales, you will be a key member of DAT's product leadership team, advancing our product management discipline across the organization.

You are a seasoned product leader with a proven track record of guiding product teams to success. You've built products from conception to launch—and, when necessary, made tough calls to sunset products that no longer serve strategic objectives. You excel at balancing ruthless prioritization with nurturing team collaboration, and you embrace a culture of open communication and shared innovation. You believe in low walls between disciplines, recognizing that the best ideas and products emerge from fully engaged, cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
- Define & Champion Strategy : Set a clear product vision for CRM, onboarding, billing, and payments, aligning roadmaps with business objectives.
- Develop and Lead High Performing Teams : Hire, mentor, and empower a high-performing product management team, instilling best practices.
- Drive Measurable Outcomes : Establish goals and success metrics, leveraging data to inform decisions and owning accountability for outcomes.
- Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, communicate tradeoffs and ensure successful delivery.
- Optimize the Product Lifecycle : Oversee and improve product ideation, launch, and evolution, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and revenue impact.

The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
