In this role, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Item Processing department, playing a key part in ensuring smooth workflows, fostering a positive team culture, and meeting tight deadlines with precision. The hours for this position are 4:30-5:30 pm - 1:30-2:30 am Monday-Friday. The position is located in Hutchinson, KS.
What You'll Do
Key responsibilities include:
Item Processing Coordination & Scheduling:
- Manage and schedule item processing operations to meet deadlines.
- Ensure the accurate capture, balancing, and dispatch of incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Create and maintain procedure library and ensure copies are available to all staff.
- Coordinate alternate procedures for abnormal conditions and provide written communication for staff and clients.
- Monitor all inventories used by the Item Processing department and order office supplies for the department.
- Assist with all item processing conversions.
Employee Supervision:
- Train, guide, and evaluate team members on your shift, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Approve timecards and time off requests promptly.
- Lead interviews and selection processes for new hires on your shift.
- Assign all staff’s schedules, workstations, and coordinate break periods.
- Consistently align actions and priorities with supervisor expectations to support departmental success.
- Carry out all standard supervisory responsibilities aligned with DCI's expectations.
Records Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and current logs of processes, problems, and corrective actions.
- Provide written and verbal turnover report from shift to shift with proper explanations.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
Other Duties:
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide backup support during vacations or absences.
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with item processing and financial data operations.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proven ability to oversee, integrate, and manage the adoption of new software.

Requirements:What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead position, ideally in item processing.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in data entry and effective communication (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience addressing workplace conflicts and performance issues to foster a positive team environment.
- Advocate & implement cross-training initiatives.
