Job Profile
Driver/Warehouse Personnel are primarily responsible for the safe, timely, and service-centered completion of daily routes and warehouse activities. Driver/Warehouse Personnel are responsible for maintaining NAID Certification standards in the field and the company’s Standard Operating Procedures. The Driver/Warehouse Personnel are responsible for maintaining superior customer service as the company’s representative in-the-field. Safe and professional demeanor, in appearance, performance of duties, and driving, are expected. Driver/Warehouse Personnel will be assigned a broad range of responsibilities concurrent with the mission of the business. CDL not required.
Driver Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a company-owned commercial vehicle - including those that are significantly wider, taller, and longer than a standard personal vehicle - daily between customer sites for the collection and delivery of product in a safe manner. This includes the ability to park, reverse, turn, and drive forward said vehicle.
- Collect and deliver confidential information from customer sites regularly while maintaining the upmost professionalism, superior customer service, efficiency, and 100% adherence to NAID and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure vehicle safety and drivability through daily and monthly inspections, maintenance, and issue reporting.
- Follow all traffic laws and drive in a manner that represents Data Guardian well to the general public while on the road.
- Properly complete all paperwork associated with delivery and pick-up of product both on the road and at company facilities (‘paperwork’ includes scanners, work orders, emails, notes, etc. associated with routing and other software programs).
- Maintain the utmost professional appearance and demeanor at all times while working and representing the company.
Warehouse Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment safety and operability through regular inspections, maintenance, and issue reporting.
- Work with staff and customers to provide prompt and professional service to drop-off shredding customers which includes but is not limited to collecting materials from client vehicles, weighing them, and reporting to office staff.
- Ensure the accurate, compliant, and timely preparation for accessory, chemical, and pharmaceutical for distribution and delivery which includes but is not limited to receiving, recording, and tagging materials for intake and prepping them for distribution.
- Operate industrial shredder, forklift, and other industrial equipment in a safe manner following set standards.
- Assist in the destruction of all materials within the allotted timeframes and keep paperwork associated with monitoring destruction deadlines.
- Meet the daily, monthly, and quarterly standards for facility maintenance and upkeep.
- Assist with projects in the Records Center and/or Scanning operations as assigned which could include but is not limited to; scanning and/or indexing records, shelving storage boxes at company facility, collecting and/or packing materials at customer facilities.

- Must be able to pass a pre-hire and ongoing drug and criminal background checks as well as have and maintain a clean driving record.
Essential Functions
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical regularly.
- Communicate via conversing with, conveying, and exchanging accurate information with customers and colleagues in person and over-the-phone.
- Assess, inspect, observe, recognize, and identify equipment, vehicles, documents and other visual and auditory aspects of daily work required while driving, navigating, and operating machinery.
- Distinguish between hot and cold along a range of temperatures over multiple surface types.
- Able to detect, determine and distinguish smells to prevent damage to equipment or safety of facility or staff.
- Operate, activate, use, and position components, products, and equipment of varying sizes, shapes, and textures in throughout the course of normal duty.
- Must be able to move, transport, position, lift, and place over 100 pounds frequently and repetitively (up to 30% of the time).
- Must be able to move, transport, position, lift, and place over 50 pounds routinely and repetitively (up to 60% of the time).
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for multiple hours at a time while driving or working at customer or company sites.
- Ability and willingness to move about company or client site sites while traversing (ascending/descending) ladders and stairs (up to 40% of the time).
- Ability to regularly position self on top of, over, under, and around equipment, furniture, and other high or low fixtures and be able to move between these positions regularly.
- Ability and willingness to work at heights of up to 18 feet at client and customer sites using equipment such as but not limited to ladders, manlifts, mobile stairways, and open staircases.
