Sr. Data Architect - Healthcare - Contract to Hire (CTH)

The Sr. Data Architect role will be a Contract to Hire Role and will play a pivotal role in integrating diverse data sources into production-ready data models to support organizational goals. This position demands strong collaboration with business and technical teams to align with business strategies and objectives, ensuring requirements are fulfilled throughout the entire data and analytics lifecycle.

• Gather and understand business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable data architecture plans
• Design and implement multidimensional and tabular data models to support analytics initiatives
• Define and enforce best practices for database design, ETL/ELT development, and optimization
• Lead and direct the development of ETL processes, ensuring adherence to optimization and scheduling best practices
• Create architectural designs to guide solution development across systems, applications, and processes
• Document solution architecture and perform design and analysis work to achieve business objectives
• Collaborate across teams to drive business impact through technical solutions, aligning infrastructure and solutions with business success metrics

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 7 years of relevant experience or 11 years of total experience
• Proven experience in roles such as Data Architect, Data Scientist, or Data Analyst, with mandatory experience in healthcare or insurance services
• Expertise in data warehousing, data architecture, data vault, and business intelligence
• Cloud-based project implementation experience (Microsoft Azure, Snowflake preferred)
• Knowledge of data pipelines and modern data platforms
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in enterprise data management technologies (ETL tools, SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, data lakes, and master data management solutions)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI
• Understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality principles, and security best practices
• Preferred experience in Microsoft Azure BI and Analytics Stack and Snowflake
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse modeling methodologies
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Predictive analytics, data mining, and machine learning experience
• Familiarity with real-time and large-batch data pipelines
• Knowledge of FHIR standards
  
  

Required Competencies:

• Demonstrates payer industry-specific knowledge of business processes
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead teams across diverse domains
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently while fostering team collaboration
• Knowledge of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies
  
  

Work Environment:

• Remote work from home
• Hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday. Specific business hours will depend on client needs
  
  

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• The person in this position must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, library stacks, office machinery, etc
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer
• The person in this position frequently communicates with clients and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
