Data Intelligence, LLC is seeking an experienced Engineer Cybersecurity III to join our team in supporting critical Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity initiatives in San Diego, CA. This position is fully on-site.

This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in system security, risk management, and compliance within DoD environments. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and a thorough understanding of security frameworks, with hands-on experience in boundary defense and vulnerability remediation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ professional experience* in the following areas:

- Computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies
- National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC), Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) requirements
- Risk Management Framework (RMF) and boundary defense techniques
- Implementation and configuration of IA-enabled tools and appliances (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Switches/Routers, Cross Domain Solutions, EMASS, Endpoint Security Solution)
- STIG implementation and hardening practices
- Vulnerability assessments using ACAS and remediation using vendor patches (Linux and Windows environments)

* 8 years of experience may be accepted for candidates possessing a Masters Degree in a relevant field; 5 years of experience may be accepted for candidates possessing a PhD in a relevant field
- Must have IAT Level III (CASP, CCNP, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP)
- Active Secret Clearance or higher – must be TS/SCI eligible
Preferred Skills & Tools:
- Experience supporting shipboard IT installations or DoD platform environments
- Familiarity with EMASS workflows and documentation
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proven track record of working in high-security environments
