Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
- Manage a portfolio of 25–45 existing accounts to foster strong relationships, ensure client satisfaction, and identify upsell opportunities.
- Proactively upsell and cross-sell core recurring services such as infrastructure support, security monitoring, and compliance solutions that align with each client’s strategic business needs.
- Conduct Technology Business Reviews (TBRs) to evaluate a client’s current IT infrastructure, review performance metrics, and recommend solutions that protect, grow, and mature their businesses.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams (engineers, tech advisors, etc.) to scope and deliver solutions, ensuring successful implementations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
New Business Development
Develop and execute strategies to prospect and self-generate new business within and beyond the existing client base.Identify new revenue streams by researching market conditions, understanding competitive landscapes, and proactively reaching out to potential customers.Maintain a robust sales pipeline, track progress, and achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.Leadership & Mentoring
Oversee and mentor Junior Account Managers , providing guidance on best practices, client management, and sales techniques.Set objectives for junior team members, monitor performance, and ensure accountability and alignment with organizational goals.Customer Advocacy & Issue Resolution
Serve as the primary advocate for the client within the organization, balancing customer needs with company objectives.Investigate and resolve client issues, engaging the appropriate resources (systems analysts, programmers, engineers) to ensure timely resolution.Build partnerships with key client stakeholders to solicit cooperation and address concerns.Project Oversight & Coordination
Review project plans and coordinate with engineering and technical teams to implement customer initiatives.Ensure solutions are designed and implemented in alignment with customer business objectives and budgetary constraints.Approve final recommendations on systems, programs, and services prior to deployment, ensuring quality control.Strategic Planning & Business Insight
Assess client IT infrastructures in relation to their business goals and recommend strategies for optimization and growth.Stay informed of emerging industry trends and continuously identify areas where the company’s solutions and services can add value to clients.Contribute to organizational goals , policies, and procedures by sharing insights from the field and advocating for customers’ needs.Job Requirements
Sales & Account Management ExperienceProven track record of managing a book of business and exceeding sales targets.
Experience in upselling, cross-selling, and generating new business leads.Technical AptitudeGeneral understanding of business and technology concepts (e.g., Windows Desktop OS in domain environments, cybersecurity, compliance).
Ability to translate technical products and services into value-driven conversations with customers.Customer Service & Relationship BuildingStrong customer service mindset, with experience assessing needs, initiating follow-up, and ensuring satisfaction .
Excellent people skills—comfortable communicating at all levels of an organization and building long-term client relationships.Analytical & Problem-Solving SkillsAbility to quickly diagnose and resolve client issues or escalate to the appropriate team.
Adept at evaluating client systems and delivering targeted recommendations .Organizational & Time Management SkillsExceptional time management to effectively balance multiple client priorities , projects, and deadlines.
Proficiency with CRM systems, sales tracking tools, and account planning strategies.Communication SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication for interacting with clients, internal teams, and senior management.
Capable of leading presentations, drafting proposals, and clearly articulating the value proposition of recommended solutions.Valid Driver’s License & TransportationRequired for on-site client visits and TBRs. Must have reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
Compliance & Background CheckMust submit to and pass live scan fingerprinting and criminal background check.
