Key Responsibilities:Demand Forecasting & Planning:
- Analyze historical sales data and trends to create accurate demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to align demand planning with business objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure they meet demand while avoiding overstocking. Define min/max level and reordering point to keep up with the demand.
- Plan for safety stock and reorder points to prevent stockouts.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Coordinate all activities with external suppliers including purchasing and delivery schedules to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Work closely with operations to ensure base stock availability.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule manufacturing or procurement activities based on forecasted demand.
- Adjust plans to meet unexpected changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
- Use software tools (like ERP systems or spreadsheets) to track and analyze supply chain metrics.
- Prepare regular reports for management on inventory levels, stockouts, and overall supply chain performance.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain (e.g., delays, disruptions) and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Work cross-functionally with procurement, sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment of supply chain objectives.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding any changes or challenges in the supply chain process.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, make forecasts, and find solutions to problems.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in supply chain management, logistics, or inventory control is typically preferred.
- Certifications such as APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are beneficial.
