The Product Analyst is a critical data-driven role within DataBank’s colocation product management group. This person will serve as an expert on our colocation product service offerings and associated pricing and will work closely with product managers to formulate pricing strategies and discount thresholds based on the company’s financial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Work with product managers to assess competitive landscape, pricing trends, and customer demand to drive pricing strategy
• Collaborate with product managers to consistently evaluate and adjust pricing using data center-specific opportunity set, financial metrics, cost data, and profitability goals
• Serve as a subject matter expert for colocation product set, data center capabilities, and pricing models
• Maintain pricing updates in organization’s quoting tool and documentation of pricing changes
• Assist with business proposals for new solutions and service renewals as required
• Perform embedded base audits and pricing analysis projects assigned to drive business focus on renewal activity and cost assurance initiatives
• Provide support in team’s effort to drive improvements to financial and pricing reporting on executed orders
  
  

Qualifications

• Highly organized and motivated with a strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize goals effectively
• Strong team player with the ability to adapt to change in priorities quickly in a high-paced work environment
• Bachelor’s degree in operational management, business, finance, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, pricing, or finance; data center industry experience preferred
• Advanced skillset in use of Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of financial analysis, interpretation, and reporting
• Proficient in calculations behind pricing-related financial metrics to include IRR, Profit Margin, EBITDA, and Payback Period
