Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician
The Heavy Equipment Technician will help ensure overall Equipment Reliability and Operation at the facility through timely and effective repairs and consistent adherence to maintenance schedules.
The scope of the role includes but is not limited to:
- Performing a variety of Maintenance, Repair and Installation tasks
- Overhauling, repairing, and servicing heavy equipment and support systems
- Championing site-specific procedures and safe work practices
- Working from manufacturers' specifications, mechanical and electrical drawings to provide equipment support.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, or structural systems and issues.
- Conducting routine scheduled and preventive maintenance on conveyors and conveyor systems
- Highly skilled at troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing gear motors, conveyors, dust collectors, ventilation, and hydraulic systems
- Systems, variable frequency drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
- Taking ownership of challenging maintenance issues.
- Persevering until the job has been completed and calling others to do the same.
- Completing and maintaining records such as work orders, PM’s, checklists, and supply requisitions.
- Background of providing quality maintenance solutions in a manufacturing environment
- Background of successfully working cross functionally with operations, engineering, and customer groups.
- Background of working collaboratively with maintenance, engineering and operations personal to achieve desired results.
- Background of determining and repairing problems or issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, or structural systems.
- Background of working with large engines, motors, conveyors and support systems to inspect, service, troubleshoot, install and repair any damage.
- To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in problem-solving failure analysis and root cause assessment skills.
- You will need physical strength and stamina, mathematical and mechanical aptitude, and have an interest in various machines.
Background of displaying a bias for action, with the ability to:
Complete work on time without compromising quality or safety.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of hands-on experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Experience servicing stationary plant equipment and heavy machinery
- Experience working with vendors and service suppliers
- Experience with-in a CMMS system.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
