Your extensive background should reflect a portfolio of accessible and high-performance WordPress websites. Your mission will involve steering project discussions to successful conclusions and fostering client and team connections. You'll be instrumental in both leading our projects and nurturing our team's development by sharing knowledge, solving technical puzzles, and building a collaborative and safe team atmosphere.
Expectations for the role include:
- Crafting impeccable HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, requiring minimal to no revisions.
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing custom WordPress themes and plugins, with a keen eye for custom block creation and full site editing techniques.
- Troubleshooting intricate backend WordPress integrations and optimizing performance on less responsive sites.
- Building genuine connections with clients to deeply understand their challenges and goals.
- Offering technical vision and navigating discussions about project strategy, architecture, and execution.
- Joining forces with designers, engineers, and strategists in a seamless Agile workflow to deliver stellar solutions.
- Balancing robust and best practice-driven front-end development with considerations for accessibility, security, browser compatibility, and SEO.
- Communicating intricate technical details accessibly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Managing a diverse workload across multiple client projects, ensuring a minimum of 32 hours weekly are devoted to billable client work.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks to safeguard against budget, timeline, scope, or quality deviations.
- Mentoring engineers with compassion, offering support and encouragement to overcome technical hurdles.
- Pushing the team boundaries to ensure project success.
- Championing continuous improvement by leveraging past experiences, delivering incremental value, and prioritizing human-centered design in our work.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Languages: Proficient in HTML, Sass, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, PHP, Java
- Frameworks: Familiar with Foundation, Bootstrap, Tailwind, among others.
- Build Tools: Experienced with Webpack, Yarn, and similar.
- Design Systems: Knowledgeable in Material design, Atomic design principles.
- Mobile Development: Some experience with Flutter.
- CMS: Proficiency in WordPress, with exposure to Craft, Contentful, HubSpot, and various static site generators.
- eCommerce Platforms: Acquaintance with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce.
- Version Control: Competent with git, Bitbucket, GitHub.
- Hosting/Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS, Pantheon, Netlify.
