The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data governance, management, and architecture, as well as a proven track record of collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to implement robust data frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of data governance programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain data quality frameworks, policies, and procedures to enhance data integrity and reliability.
- Oversee the integration of data governance technologies, including data catalogs, lineage tracking, and metadata management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage data architecture, master data management, and data lifecycle processes.
- Implement and optimize data platforms, focusing on Snowflake, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and AWS Data Pipelines.
- Utilize data lineage tools such as Collibra to provide comprehensive data tracking and ensure compliance.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment on data governance objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of data governance principles and data quality frameworks.
- Proficiency in data management practices, including data architecture, master data management, and data lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Unity Catalog, AWS, and Collibra or similar tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Must be located in the Bay Area for onsite collaboration.
