Staff Accountant - Manufacturing

Reports to Corporate Controller

• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Assists in month end closing by reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts, while accruing expenses as needed.
• Supports external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
• Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal and GAAP requirem ents.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  
  

Education, Experience, And Licensing Requirements

• Associates degree in accounting or finance
• 2-5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
• Manufacturing company experience
• Experience with financial reporting
• Experience with Great Plains ERP is a plus
