Overview:
Our client, a multinational company that designs, manufactures, and sells networking equipment is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cisco Network Systems Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities to support and enhance our client. This role involves constructing complex test environments, managing networks and server configurations, and collaborating with international teams to ensure the seamless operation of their systems.
Responsibilities:
- Construct intricate test environments tailored to meet diverse client specifications, seamlessly integrating these setups into existing lab infrastructure, and providing comprehensive maintenance and support throughout the equipment life cycle.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot various operating systems, including VMware (ESXi/vCenter), Windows, and Linux (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian).
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot various networking hardware platforms, including ASR5000/5500 chassis, IOS, IOS XE, IOS XR, NX-OS, and Cisco terminal servers.
- Implement and maintain Active Directory on Windows, VMware, and Linux using Vintela.
- Manage Cisco UCS C-series rack mount servers and Cisco UCS Blade Centers chassis, encompassing both servers and network modules.
- Construct VMware cloud environments, establish clusters, configure storage mappings, network setups, virtual machines, and user permissions.
- Collaborate effectively with information security teams to promptly address software vulnerabilities and patching requirements, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of newly arrived equipment, facilitating remote users awareness of available resources.
- Apply knowledge of auto-mount and communication protocols such as NFS, TFTP, SSH, SCP, and DNS.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and L2 networking.
- Work closely with local and international test engineers to devise and implement test lab strategies that align with or surpass divisional requirements.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of 3-phase AC power using PDUs.
Have a solid understanding of different types of power and networking cables. -

We are not considering C2C candidates for this position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position. You must be able to work onsite M-F from 9 am - 6 pm.
