Position Title : Project Manager
Job Location : Oakland County, MI (Hybrid, 3 days Onsite)
Duration : Contract – long term
Responsibilities :
- Desire to be a hands-on, self-starter, and team player with technical and interpersonal skills.
- Must be flexible and meet deadlines set by internal and external agencies to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.
- Under supervision, the project manager will be a key contributor supporting our applications and must have experience managing a variety of projects, including requests for proposals (RFPs), contract / scope development, infrastructure upgrades, application enhancements, and new development, and implementation of COTS / vendor applications with multiple integrations, and Agile technologies.
- Must possess a high level of understanding in project management methodology, web application programming, content management systems, API, database, and system design. Identify the technical approach for a given project and manage the system development process.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.
- Advocate for change and effectively communicate project value, including navigating individual viewpoints and building consensus.
- Manage scope throughout the project duration; manage project tasks with team members; correlate work to a work breakdown structure; and ensure team members track time appropriately for projects.
- Manage tasks and resources related to support, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications, where applicable.
- Potential assignment areas with duties described above : Public Safety, Water Resources Commissioner, and Assessing & Taxation. Local candidates are preferred for the hybrid work environment, but remote-only candidates will be considered based on qualifications.
