Sr. Middleware Admin

Our team seeks qualified candidates to provide Middleware Administrator services to our client, in support of diverse development, UAT, and production environments.

Tasks and Duties:

1. Core Java and Java EE: A strong understanding of Java fundamentals and enterprise features.
2. Middleware Technologies: Familiarity with specific middleware platforms such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss EAP, WebSphere, or others is crucial.
3. Database Management: Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle, MongoDB) is necessary for data integration and management within middleware.
4. Software Design Patterns: Understanding design patterns aids in creating robust and maintainable middleware solutions.
5. Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices is increasingly important as middleware often plays a role in connecting distributed services.
6. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Proficiency in CI/CD practices is needed for efficient development and deployment of middleware components.
7. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues is critical for maintaining middleware stability.
8. Performance Tuning: Optimizing middleware performance is important for ensuring application responsiveness.
9. Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork skills are necessary for working with other developers and stakeholders.
10. Adaptability and Flexibility: The middleware landscape is constantly evolving, so adaptability and a willingness to learn are important.
11. Security: Understanding security principles and best practices is crucial for protecting middleware and the applications it supports.
12. Cloud Technologies: As more applications move to the cloud, familiarity with cloud platforms and services is becoming increasingly valuable.
13. Scripting Languages: Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or shell scripting is needed for automating tasks and managing middleware environments.
14. Operating Systems: A good understanding of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) is needed for working with middleware.
15. Networking: Basic networking knowledge is helpful for understanding how middleware interacts with other systems.
