Sr. Oracle Enterprise DBA

Our team seeks qualified candidates to provide Oracle Enterprise DBA services to our client, in support of diverse development, UAT, and production environments.

Tasks and Duties:

Oracle Enterprise Manager Upgrade & Hardware Refresh

• Upgrade OEM 13.5 to OEM 24AI
• Coordinate hardware refresh activities to migrate Oracle/Grid 19c implementation from old hardware to new hardware
• Implementation of Active DataGuard configuration

Performance Tuning & Optimization

• Implement table partitioning strategies to improve query performance and manage large datasets efficiently.
• Capture SQL Tuning Sets for nightly batch cycles and execute SQL Tuning Advisor for optimization.
• Tune OS parameters (e.g., kernel semaphores, huge pages, transparent pages) for optimal database performance.
• Optimize SGA/PGA memory management to enhance database efficiency.
• Review and fine-tune SQLNET.ora configuration for secure and efficient communication.
• Analyze and adjust UNDO/Flashback settings for effective transaction management.
• Evaluate and modify non-default database parameters for optimal performance.
• Conduct AWR workload reviews to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.
• Implementation of Oracle Advanced Compression and Oracle Database In-Memory features

Query & Workload Optimization

• Optimize long-running queries using indexing, hints, partitioning, and query restructuring techniques.
• Review optimizer statistics to ensure accurate execution plans.
• Capture and analyze SQL execution plans to enhance database performance.

Data Management & Migration

• Perform POC for Migrating Data Warehouse to a 32K block size for improved I/O performance.
