Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting various hardware and software issues. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Provide first-level support for desktop and laptop issues, including hardware repairs and software installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- Assist users with DNS configurations and LAN connectivity problems.
- Utilize ServiceNow for ticket management, ensuring timely resolution of support requests.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance user experience.
- Maintain documentation of technical procedures and user guides.
- Collaborate with network teams to manage Firewall configurations and Meraki devices.
- Support Linux-based systems as needed, providing assistance with software installations and updates.
- Participate in IT projects aimed at improving overall service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a desktop support or help desk role, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows environments; familiarity with Linux is a plus.
- Experience with DNS management and LAN troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues effectively and implement solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with users at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified) are advantageous but not mandatory.
