Our office engages in public education and crime prevention efforts while maintaining the traditional role of investigating, charging, and prosecuting all criminal violations occurring within the City and County of San Francisco.The Victim Services Division (VSD) of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office strives to make the criminal justice system humane and accessible by providing support and assistance to victims and their families in the aftermath of a crime. Our division provides victims with advocacy, streamlines the process for collecting restitution, and works tirelessly to support victims regain control over their lives.Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Victim Services, the Office Coordinator for the Victim Services Division will be primarily responsible for the intake, guidance, and coordination of resources for individuals seeking assistance. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness to manage the day-to-day operations of the division.Examples of duties include, but are not limited to : Oversee front-desk responsibilities including greeting individuals and assisting them with the services provided by the Victim Services Division.Support and oversee a high volume of case assignments and daily review of incoming police incident reports and referrals for assignments to advocates.Manage front desk operations including responding to daily emails, voicemails, and walk-ins.Maintain VSD SharePoint and OneDrive.Provide general administrative and victim advocacy support services.Maintain accurate records and organize office operations.Data entry into the case management system.Manage vouchers, reimbursement requests, or invoices as needed.Direct supervision of Public Service Trainees, including training and mentorship.Calendar and provide administrative support to Grants and reports.Contribute to strengthening external relationships with community and governmental partner agencies.Lead and participate in staff and community training and presentations.Engagement in VSD special projects.Participate in the hiring process of new advocates.Work under the supervision of the Chief and Deputy Chief of VSD to assist with grant management.Provide back-up for other Team Leads, as needed.Additional tasks as assigned.How to qualify Minimum Qualifications : Requires a minimum of 2 years of training, education, and / or experience in social welfare, behavioral science, criminology, psychology, or a closely related field and responsible social service, criminal justice, or advocacy experience.Desired Qualifications : Ability to maintain highly confidential and time-sensitive information. Excellent communication skills. Strong written communication skills. Experience with U-visas and knowledge of the criminal justice system.
