DataStaff is in need of a Senior .Net Applications Developer for one of our direct clients in the Richmond, VA area for a long-term contract opportunity.
*This position is hybrid; the selected candidate must work onsite several days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing complex software requirements to design and develop high quality components for N-tier systems.
- Take a lead role within the team, ensuring that programming best practices are being followed, prioritizing work effectively, addressing production issues in a timely manner, and writing system documentation when required.
- Ability to develop applications and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Java Script, jQuery, Angular JS, Node.js and CSS.
- Design and develop using appropriate software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability.
- Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of system design patterns, tiered architecture, and testing practices.
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
- Ability to plan and manage projects.
- Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
- Work with project business and system analysts to clarify the requirements and then implement them.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Enforce standards and best practices.
- Participate in Agile SDLC.
- Have strong communication skills to be effective in both technical and business requirement discussions.
Required Skills:
- 10 Years - C# experience developing custom .Net applications
- 10 Years - Web application development experience and fluency with JavaScript including frameworks jQuery, React, Angular or Blazor, CSS3 and HTML5
- 10 Years - Experience with ADO.Net and Entity Frameworks
- 10 Years - Experience with SQL Server Proc/Functions development and tuning
- 3 Years - Experience with Automated Builds using Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- 6 Years - Experience with Process automation and troubleshooting
- 3 Years - Experience with Crystal Reports, SSRS and SSIS.
- 3 Years - Experience with Design Patterns and using MVC framework, Dependency Injection Framework
- 3 Years - Experience with Agile SDLC best practices
Desired Skills:
- 3 Years - Experience developing with Azure
- 3 Years - Experience working on .NET/GIS projects
- 2 Years - Experience or working knowledge on Dynamics 365
- 3 Years - Experience working with Python scripting
