Paging Technician

Employee engagement clubs New Employee Buddy/CHAMPION Program What You’ll Do: Work with a Solutions Architect team to assist in the Design and implementation of analog and IP-based paging systems, including speakers, horns, strobes, gateways, servers, and power supplies Install and configure cabling, including Category 6 and 18/4 cabling, for provided locations Test and balance sound for all installed hardware to ensure optimal performance Provide and install equipment rack hardware and network equipment, ensuring a conditioned IT environment Manage audio groups for zoning purposes and test the setup Utilize tools like Valcom 102B tool for configuring universal paging interfaces and setting IP addresses Integrate paging systems and telecommunication systems using Microsoft Teams by utilizing Cyber Gate, FXO, FXS and SIP controllers. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for paging systems, including network connectivity issues Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of paging systems Who You Are: Experience in telecommunications or a related field. Proven experience in designing, installing, and maintaining analog and IP-based paging systems. Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including cabling, equipment racks, and power supplies. Familiarity with telecommunication systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Experience with Valcom, Bogen and Axis paging systems and hardware. Knowledge of SIP endpoint paging and multicast paging Familiarity with tools like Valcom 102B tool Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time Are you ready to join the team? The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stand, stoop, kneel, drive and reach. Skill in operation of some of the listed tools and equipment; and ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time. The employee must frequently push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in inclement weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration.
