🧠The Role: Head of Software Engineering
You'll lead and grow a 20-person software team in their Orlando office, overseeing the development of next-gen AR products that blend technical challenges with real-world applications.
You'll report to the CTO and drive strategy, delivery, and stakeholder communication, all while maintaining the highest software standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the development of flagship AR products and launching new software initiatives
- Managing and mentoring a distributed team of 20 engineers
- Conducting code reviews and championing engineering best practices
- Shaping product roadmaps and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
- Acting as a trusted voice for investors, customers, and cross-functional partners
🧩 What You Bring:
Must-Haves:
- U.S. Citizenship (security clearance required)
- Previous Hands-on experience with C development
- Proven leadership of teams with 10 engineers
- Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum and CI/CD workflows
- Clear and confident communicator across all levels
Bonus Points for:
- AR/VR or aerospace background
- Master’s in a STEM field
- Familiarity with standards like AS9100 or ISO/IEC 12207
