The company
A leading firm in consulting and design engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Commissioning Specialist who will lead the commissioning of complex mechanical systems across high-profile, mission-critical projects.
The position
You will work with engineers, contractors, and clients to test, validate, and optimize mechanical systems, ensuring operational success.
- Project Leadership: Manage commissioning projects, including proposals, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Testing & Validation: Oversee functional testing of mechanical and control systems.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multiple project teams.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of policies and training.
Could this role be for you?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, OR 2 years hands-on experience in mechanical and controls system installation, plus 8 years in commissioning and testing.
- Expertise in mechanical systems, MS Office proficiency, and strong communication skills.
- Chiller plant expertise
- Understanding of new cooling systems
- Travel required locally in Atlanta with the prospect of travel to other sites in the US if required
