Job Overview
The Plumbing and Mechanical Sales Specialist represents the company to both customers and vendors. This position uses quality sales techniques and customer service skills to meet and exceed our customers' expectations. Requirements include researching products, creating and providing quotations, attaining pricing and placing purchase orders with vendors and manufacturers, as well as coordinating order shipments with our logistics team to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Market Segment Concentration
- Plumbing
- Mechanical and Fire Systems PVF and Accessories
- Refrigeration and HVAC
- Other products and market segments to be added as proficiency allows
Quoting Customers Includes:
- Sourcing and researching products and vendors based on specifications provided
- Preparing price quotations for existing customers
Ordering Materials for Customers Includes:
- Creating and submitting purchase orders to vendors
- Creating working relationships and managing expectations with key vendors
Processing of Orders and Purchase Orders
Freight and Logistics Support Includes:
- Accurately budgeting freight for quotes/orders and documenting properly
- Support logistics department in management of order shipments
Skills and Attributes
- Organized, responsible, attentive to detail, patient, flexible, and open-minded
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written - to communicate with customers, vendors, and coworkers daily
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Teams, MS Word, Excel, and Internet Navigation
- Good typing skills
- Able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Quick learner - Intuitive and ability to retain new information and terms/concepts
Experience and Training
- Knowledge of plumbing and mechanical materials
- Experience in sales and purchasing
- International experience is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
