Position Overview
Dateline Exports is seeking a dynamic Logistics Coordinator responsible for providing administrative support to the Logistics team. This role encompasses aspects of national and international logistics, with a focus on Ocean Freight and Airfreight. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating shipments, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with vendors, sales, and shipping departments. This role works closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth coordination of goods received. Successful candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills and be adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding problem-solving skills a must.
This in-office position provides a unique opportunity for the new employee to learn from and bond with our experienced team, as well as collaborate with upstream and downstream sales and invoicing teams. There may be times when this candidate will have to work outside of these hours, but we try to keep schedules consistent. Additionally, the role offers the flexibility to work remotely one day a week or occasionally, allowing for a balanced work environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordination with freight forwarders and factories to ensure prompt movement of shipments by arranging shipments, scheduling pickups, preparing/reviewing shipping documentation, and ensuring that all deliveries are made on time
Actively monitor all shipments in transit, providing regular communication updates to clients, partners, and internal team members from the moment of cargo departure to arrival
Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding their shipments, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the international logistics process
Stay well-informed of trade rules and regulations, ensuring compliance in all shipping activities
Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients, factories, warehouse teams, and freight forwarders
Resolve logistics-related problems through critical thinking, seeking input, and implementing effective solutions
Ensure the quality of all services provided meets the required international standards
Assist with developing efficient and organized processes to enhance the overall supply chain
Knowledge and Skills:
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Sense of urgency and strong attention to detail, crucial in the fast-paced international logistics environment

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in international logistics, specifically in Ocean Freight and Airfreight coordination.
- Proven success in coordinating shipments, scheduling pickups, and handling shipping documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade rules and regulations, with a focus on compliance in the Asia-Pacific region is a plus.
- Strong familiarity with Ocean Freight and Airfreight processes and terminology.
- Track record of actively monitoring and communicating shipment status throughout the shipping process.
- Proficient in problem-solving within the logistics field.
- Experience in building positive relationships with vendors, clients, factories, and freight forwarders.
- Previous collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in logistics within the Asia Pacific region is a plus.
- Professional certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields are a plus.
