SUMMARY
Perform complex activities relating to the design, testing and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems. Performs product development activities including CAD layout, interpretation and implementation of specifications and documentation. Provide existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware.
SCOPE
Works with little supervision on day-to-day work as member of an integrated mechanical engineering team. Works on problems of moderate to diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Uses professional concepts and industry practices; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues. Builds stable working relationships internally.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Solve mechanical problems on existing products and drives the manufacturing integration of new products by working in conjunction with Production and outside vendors as need arises.
- Participate in the conceptual design of packaging for new products in conjunction with the senior mechanical lead and Project Engineer.
- Estimate time and personnel requirements.
- Create and monitor scheduling requirements for new projects.
- Thermal and structural analysis of electronic models.
- Works with sustaining engineering in support of existing products.
- Creation of product structure, bills of material, and assembly documents.
- Prototyping and testing of new designs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to Datron World Communications and Cyberlux Quality Management System.
- Adhere to all DWC and CYBL policies and procedures including work rules, safety standards and departmental operating procedures.
