System Engineer
Atlanta, GA- Onsite
Looking for an engineer that is hard work focused. Test equipment, certification, documentation. Focus is for the type of products field Opps support (on site engineers).
Bring in new peripheral equipment (printer, a lot with enterprise printing. a lot with zebra). wither it be a desktop scanner, printer. get into the ServiceNow experience.
security has become a big portion of the task to ensure the devices don't create any vulnerabilities to make sure all is ok.
Good to know:
1) understanding hardware and firmware. How to configure it
2) PowerShell to write configuration scripts
A lot of 3rd level support to engineers on site and they remote into the device and help assist them to determine what may be causing device not to work.
Certification process to ensure drivers are updated to certain levels.
Experience working in the hardware space. Not so much from a systems management perspective and more from a device.
Does not want a ton of different job experience hopping around
Terraterm helps understand commands.
Rare case that anyone would get called for 24x365 support - might roll into sometime.
Wants someone with good experience and can hit the ground running.
RFID would be a plus POS would be a plus
Would be sitting in a test lab type of environment. Troubleshooting, documenting.
Very focused on peripheral desktop type of equipment. No networking.
ServiceNow knowledge is a good.
