Position 1: AWS Cloud Developer- Java/Kafka/Cloud Native/Lambda/CDK (Cloud Development Kit)

Position 2: AWS Cloud Developer- Java/Node/Cloud Native/Lambda/CDK (Cloud Development Kit)

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Node.js and TypeScript with a strong focus on secure application development.
• Proven experience in building secure AWS Lambda functions across multi-region AWS active-active architectures.
• Advanced proficiency with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) for infrastructure as code.
• Experience setting up CloudWatch Dashboards and configuring CloudWatch Alarms.
• Skilled in Test Driven Development (TDD) and SLAs/SLOs for monitoring requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience, education, and training.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with employees and management at all levels.
• Strong Integrity and Trust: Ability to provide direct, honest communication and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in teams, contribute to collaborative discussions, and mentor colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience integrating disparate systems and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud; AWS preferred).
• Proficient in Python, Java, Shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell), and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift for deploying and managing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with scalable data extraction tools and technologies.
• Experience with Kafka, Aurora, AWS Glue, and Redshift is a plus.
• Understanding of data engineering, real-time streaming, evening, and JSON parsing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible for automating application deployment and continuous delivery.
• Experience in building microservices and API architecture.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Adaptable and eager to learn and collaborate with colleagues.
• Ability to work in an environment that prioritizes safety and security.
• Business Intelligence/Analytics experience is a plus.
• Open-minded and embraces diversity in people, thinking, and work styles .

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Airline Industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support modular designs for data streaming, cloud transformation, migration, and API product development for critical applications.
• Create and maintain data APIs and data delivery services to support both operational and analytical needs for internal business operations, customers, and partners.
• Design and support data-centric products involving multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies.
• Analyze technical challenges and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborate with teammates to share ideas and creative solutions to technical challenges.
• Work within automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
• Be an expert in the products being developed and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Document solutions both in writing and diagrams, ensuring effective communication across teams.
• Follow coding standards to ensure the final product meets both design goals and business needs.
• Identify and communicate technical issues, including their impact and prioritization needs.
• Maintain proactive communication with both team members and leadership.
• Collaborate with vendors and third parties as needed to meet business requirements.
