SERVER ASSISTANT
Works directly with management and staff to ensure guests are taken care of efficiently. Responsible for seating guests, clearing and cleaning tables, running food, and maintaining takeout orders, while being responsible for all customer experiences. Maintains highest food quality and sanitation standards.
Main function- Ensures tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, serves food and beverages in a timely manner with a polite and friendly attitude.
Reports to: Front of House Managers and General Manager
Job Tasks
- Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner.
- Engage in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion.
- Managing restaurant wait list during high volume.
- Sincerely thanks guests as they leave and inviting them to return.
- Quickly and efficiently clear and reset restaurant tables.
- Carry large loads of dishes to kitchen for washing.
- Support other areas of the restaurant as necessary, such as setup, cleanup, prep work, and general cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in the bathrooms throughout the shift.
- Take and enter accurate orders by telephone or in person.
- Organizes takeout orders and ensures that all items ordered are delivered to guests in a timely manner.
- Maintains tables by removing dishes as completed, clearing dishes, sanitizing, and resetting tables in a timely manner.
- Deliver food orders to customers in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged period.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Verbal communication skills, and accurate math and cash handling skills.
