SUMMARY OF POSITION
High school graduate or the equivalent is required. Some additional courses in horticulture and/or agriculture is preferred.
Valid Indiana Driver's License.
Two years of lawn care, landscaping, tree and shrub care experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to endure at least eight hours continuous work requiring physical demands including but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Must be able to work outdoors at least 80% of an eight-hour work day, as weather permits.
- Must know how to operate and care for equipment, know how to measure insecticides and fertilizing solutions, and be alert to hazards.
- All job duties are expected to be completed in accordance with the mission and values of the Daughters of Charity.
Summary of Duties:
Provides complete lawn care service for a large intricately landscaped area. Mows and trims grass. Plants, trims, and maintains flowers beds, shrubs, and trees. Performs routine maintenance and minor adjustments to vehicles and equipment.
