Lead Infant Teacher (Child Care)
We are currently seeking a Lead Infant Teacher to join our team at Play Time Early Childhood Enrichment Center. This includes following the curriculum / philosophy of the center, providing daily activities that are developmentally appropriate, stimulating and challenging to the students, assessing children's progress and needs, mentoring the assistant teacher in the classroom with daily duties and communicating with parents.
Essential Qualifications :
- Education in Early Childhood : BA, CDA, or Associates degree, or a CPL 3
- Must have a thorough understanding of early childhood development.
- Must have or get the required ODJFS (each initial course is 6 hours and refresher courses are 3 hours every 2-3 years : First Aid, Child Abuse, CPR and Communicable Disease).
- Must complete 30 hours of approved Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) training every 2 years.
- Follows all licensing regulations set forth by the Ohio State Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), SUTQ 5 Star guidelines, Healthy Ohio, Teaching Strategies Gold and the USDA CACFP.
