As we prepare to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, we are looking for an experienced fundraising professional to make connections with donors who support our mission and vision.
The Daughters of the American Revolution, a non-profit membership organization, has a full-time opportunity in our Development Office for an Annual Fund Specialist. The individual in this role will develop strategic, creative, and collaborative multichannel fundraising campaigns.
As a part of the Annual Fund team, our Specialist will develop a cohesive direct response fundraising program working in partnership with multichannel leads (direct mail, individual giving, and digital), create and optimize website content for fundraising, collaborate with staff to leverage social media channels, and build a pipeline of donors for higher level giving opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create the department's annual communication and solicitation calendar. This will include vendor and internal stakeholder collaboration and feedback for direct mail and electronic outreach.
- Oversee the development of integrated direct mail (offline/online) multichannel campaign strategies from start to finish. This will include donor acknowledgements, database management, and coordinating mail solicitations.
- Identify opportunities for cross-channel experiences and align online and offline marketing to create audience-focused experiences.
- Develop integrated direct mail fundraising donor journeys.
- Regularly monitors and analyzes campaign results and feedback to draw conclusions, spot trends, and improve performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field of direct response or development.
- A minimum of 6-8 years of direct response fundraising is required.
- Experience and demonstrated success developing and managing digital and direct mail fundraising campaigns across all channels.
- Experience with leveraging data and performance results to shape strategy and creative concepts.
- The ability to lead projects that include multiple departments, consultants, and vendors.
- Knowledge of marketing concepts in a fundraising environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and comfort using digital tools.
- Strong communications skills with individuals at all levels.
All members of this office are expected to work the month of June in preparation for the Society's annual convention, Continental Congress.

- Hiring annual salary range in the mid $60,000's to mid $70,000's with the final determination based upon, but not limited to, job related knowledge, skills and experience.
