Director, Data Services

Dauntless Discovery, a cutting-edge eDiscovery company is seeking a highly skilled Director of Data Services to lead and manage a team of Relativity Administrators. In this role you will be managing the day-to-day workflows of our Relativity team, overseeing policies and procedures and all data management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of Relativity Administrators in day-to-day and long-term strategies and objectives, ensuring the team has necessary resources to deliver superlative results
• Manage, oversee, maintain, and support our RelativityOne instances, which includes maintaining and updating all internal and client domain templates, SQL and Azure Data Lake storage troubleshooting, security auditing, custom queries, light to moderate level scripting and reporting, and storage threshold monitoring and planning
• Develop and implement custom solutions for short-term and long-term internal and external requests relating to modern data types and custom ESI requirements, as necessary, including testing, documentation, training, and post-implementation monitoring of results
• Consult with clients and internal parties, as necessary, regarding support, workflows, custom solutions, and processes
• Manage and execute data organization, storage, and retention policies both in cloud and local network environments
• Maintain and update proprietary matter management, data intake tracking and case shutdown management system
• Partner closely with the Data Services application development team to assist with design, testing, feedback, documentation, and trainings for new custom solutions
• Work closely with IT regarding FTP, network systems, VPN, systems management, asset security updates, and communication of policy implementations
• Participate and assist with IT security certification renewal processes and protocols
• Manage and resolve hosting, support, and workflow issues in a timely and professional manner
• Lead, participate and support cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency and quality
  
  

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in managing a team or department in data services or a related field
• Exceptional and in-depth mastery and experience with Relativity/RelativityOne. Relativity Certifications (Relativity Expert/Master) are a plus
• Excellent communication, client relationship, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to easily translate technical explanations to non-technical personnel and/or clients
• Ability to think on your feet and make challenging decisions in a rapidly changing environment
• Moderate proficiency in SQL
