Starting Rate : $16.00 per hour
Dauphin County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting applications for the position of Part Time Maintenance Worker II . The objective of the employee in this role is to perform general maintenance duties and assist with repairs, constructions and recreational / education programs within the County Parks System's buildings and grounds. The employee in this role is responsible for but not limited to performing the following essential functions listed below.
Essential Functions of Job :
- Provides maintenance, minor repair duties, and painting required on various buildings, furniture, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
- Maintains, repairs, and operates equipment and vehicles used for grounds and building maintenance, repairs, and construction.
- Assists in landscape installations and building / furnishings construction and fabrication.
- Mows and trims vegetation and removes fallen leaves.
- Provides a safe environment for public park users.
- Removes snow and ice from walks, driveways, parking areas and lanes.
- Performs custodial duties at park restrooms, pavilions, and other buildings / grounds.
- Supports Parks & Recreation programs and special events by providing custodial support as needed, and working a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
- Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
