This role requires a deep understanding of laser technology and its applications in medical devices , driving advancements that enhance patient outcomes and meet regulatory standards.RD Director Key Responsibilities : Lead the R&D team in designing and developing next-generation medical laser systems used in various therapeutic and surgical applications.Oversee the full product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to regulatory approval and commercialization .Drive innovation in laser-based medical treatments , ensuring safety, precision, and effectiveness.Collaborate with engineering, regulatory, and marketing teams to align product development with business goals.Stay ahead of advancements in laser physics, optics, photonics, and biomedical engineering to maintain a competitive edge.Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other medical device regulations .Develop and manage the R&D budget, optimizing resources to meet strategic objectives.Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Medical Laser Applications : The RD Director will focus on developing and enhancing laser technologies for applications including, but not limited to : Surgical Precision – Laser-based cutting, coagulation, and tissue ablation for minimally invasive procedures.Aesthetic and Dermatological Treatments – Skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, and hair reduction using laser energy.Ophthalmic Surgery – Laser-assisted vision correction, cataract removal, and retinal treatments.Dental Procedures – Soft and hard tissue applications for improved precision and reduced patient discomfort.Oncology and Tumor Treatment – Laser therapy for tumor ablation and targeted photothermal treatments.Pain Management and Physiotherapy – Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) for reducing inflammation and promoting healing.Director of Research and Development Requirements : Must have extensive experience in laser technology within the medical device industry.10 years of R&D experience , with at least 5 years in a leadership role .Strong background in optics, photonics, and laser system development .Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices (FDA, ISO 13485, etc.).Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams .Advanced degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Biomedical Engineering , or a related field preferred.Compensation : Base Salary : $160,000 - $185,000Total Earnings at Plan : $230,000 - $250,000This is an exciting opportunity to lead cutting-edge innovations in the medical laser industry , driving the development of life-changing technologies .#J-18808-Ljbffr
