Our client, a nationally recognized marketer of tungsten carbide cutting tools, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer – Cutting Tools to drive sales growth in the aerospace and firearms industries. This role requires a deep understanding of carbide cutting tools, including inserts, solid carbide, and PCD, as well as expertise in milling and turning applications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share in the aerospace and firearms industries.
  • Provide technical support and application expertise to customers, ensuring optimal use of cutting tools for high-precision machining applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at OEMs and contract manufacturers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, training, and presentations for customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to address customer needs.
  • Manage a sales territory that requires 50% overnight travel.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in technical sales or a related field.
  • Expertise in milling or turning applications and high-precision machining.
  • Proven track record selling carbide cutting tools to the aerospace or firearms industries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical knowledge into sales opportunities.


Compensation:

  • $80,000 – $100,000 Base Commission
