Our client, a nationally recognized marketer of tungsten carbide cutting tools, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer – Cutting Tools to drive sales growth in the aerospace and firearms industries. This role requires a deep understanding of carbide cutting tools, including inserts, solid carbide, and PCD, as well as expertise in milling and turning applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share in the aerospace and firearms industries.
- Provide technical support and application expertise to customers, ensuring optimal use of cutting tools for high-precision machining applications.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at OEMs and contract manufacturers.
- Conduct product demonstrations, training, and presentations for customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to address customer needs.
- Manage a sales territory that requires 50% overnight travel.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in technical sales or a related field.
- Expertise in milling or turning applications and high-precision machining.
- Proven track record selling carbide cutting tools to the aerospace or firearms industries.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical knowledge into sales opportunities.
Compensation:
- $80,000 – $100,000 Base Commission
