The Vice President of Operations will report to and work closely with the President of the company to maintain operational efficiency through high quality work, managed job cost budgets and safety seen as the highest priority. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the operational functions of the business. The VP of Ops will work closely with the President of the company and SE Regional President to drive growth in the business.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations for all divisions of Davco Roofing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and core values.
- Develop and implement operational strategies.
- Oversight of team members who manage project specific budgets for all contracted projects.
- Implement new technologies.
- Foster a company culture of growth and development.
This position will require oversight into the following operational processes that are already in place:
- Work order review and participating in kick off meetings.
- Review material PO prior to delivery.
- Site logistics to include rental equipment monitoring
- Safety review with all new projects.
- In the field quality control checks.
- Time on site with both Directors of Operations and FOMS.
- Ensure that all Subcontractors have a PO prior to work starting.
- Monitoring job costs with PM and Ops team.
- Attend relative site meetings as needed.
- Interact with customers and General Contractors.
- Expense report reviews.
- Weekly timecard final approvals.
- The two-week schedule look ahead.
