Job Description:
The Manager of Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Dave & Buster’s new store openings and Store of the Future remodels. This individual will lead the development and execution of localized marketing strategies that ensure a strong brand presence, effective community engagement, and exceptional store performance. This role will also be responsible for driving brand-level Store of the Future remodel strategy including creative templatization, research, and playbook optimization. As a key contributor to a major company initiative, you will collaborate across departments, champion innovative ideas, and measure success to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
New Store Openings:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for new store openings, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and corporate objectives.
- Partner with media agency to manage localized advertising campaigns, including digital, social media, OOH, radio, and other channels, to drive awareness and traffic.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, and IT and Finance, to ensure seamless execution of pre-opening and post-opening activities.
- Identify and engage with local community organizations, influencers, and businesses to establish partnerships and promote new locations.
Store of the Future Remodel Openings:
- Drive the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives for remodeled "Store of the Future" locations, ensuring they achieve or exceed performance goals.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine marketing tactics for remodeled stores, aligning with company-wide innovation efforts.
- Develop a ‘Store of the Future’ playbook to be used upon re-openings and ensure the field is trained on marketing assets at their disposal.
- Partner with media agency to manage localized advertising campaigns, including digital, social media, influencers, OOH, radio, and other channels, to drive awareness and traffic.
- Provide operations support when needed to coordinate in-store launch events, community outreach, and promotional campaigns to maximize visibility and traffic.
- Collaborate with the insights team to track performance metrics and develop action plans for continuous optimization.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage budgets for new store and remodel marketing campaigns, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Monitor competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate Dave & Buster’s in new and remodeled markets.
- Present strategies, results, and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on retail, hospitality, or entertainment industries; experience with field marketing preferred.
- Proven track record of managing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns for new store openings and/or remodel initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, measure campaign effectiveness, and drive data-informed decisions.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a customer-centric mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams and build external relationships.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including CRM, social media, and digital advertising platforms.
