Dave Pirro Ford, Inc is seeking an experienced Ford Certified Technician to join our team! As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:
- Performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-driving vehicles and testing components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service technician work, with experience working at a Ford dealership preferred. The following qualifications are required:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Technician.
- An ASE Certification is mandatory, while Ford Certification is highly valued.
- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is considered a plus.
- B-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
- A positive, friendly attitude along with an eagerness to improve.
- Able to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
