POSITION SUMMARY
A Dave’s Fresh Marketplace Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions properly, cleaning, merchandising, cash register operations (POS), and loss prevention in adherence to all Dave’s Fresh Marketplace Policy/Store standards. Additionally, Cashiers are responsible for the safeguarding of Dave’s Fresh Marketplace assets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Prior cashier experience preferred, but not required
· Must be 16 years of age or older
· Must be comfortable with customer facing interactions
· Must be fluent in English
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment – includes greeting and acknowledging customers, smiling, making eye contact, and all other components of customer service
· Accurately and efficiently completing all sales transactions and maintaining proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers
· Responsible for bagging groceries to Dave’s Fresh Marketplace standards, and ensuring that the customer departs with all of their items
· Assists customers by providing information, answering questions, and/or aiding the customer in finding a manager for further assistance
· Counting the cash drawer prior to each shift and ensuring security of that drawer at all times
· Responsible for discounting product by redeeming a customer’s coupon(s)
· Cleaning the front-end and restocking front-end supplies – I.E., bags, receipt rolls, paid stickers, napkins, utensils, etc.
· Adhering to all Dave’s Fresh Marketplace policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
· Notifies Customer Service of pricing discrepancies
· Communicating customer requests and suggestions to Customer Service
· Adherence to department-specific dress code policy
· Performing other duties as assigned
· Completes all cleaning tasks as required
· Follows all safety practices and procedures

· Proficiency in cash handling and mathematical skills
· Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Multilingual is a plus
· Ability to perform basic math and count

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
· Reliable and dependable; able to work a flexible schedule
· Must be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week
