What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Stocker 3rd shift position at Dave's Markets?
3rd shift overnight stock (schedules vary between start time of 9:00pm and end as late as 7:00am). You are not permitted to leave the store during this shift as the store is on lock down.

Shift premium hourly incentive for hours between 11pm and 7am.

You must be at least 18 years of age and not enrolled in high school to be considered for this position.
General Description
Responsible for handling grocery products. This includes full knowledge of product lines and specific aisle locations. Orders, receives, inventories, rotates, cuts packaging and marks product. Transports product to aisle and stocks shelves and displays.
Essential Functions / Requirements
Providing quality customer service is an essential component of every position within Daves Supermarket stores. Each position serves its own group of customers, which may consist of consumers, co-workers, vendors and business associates. As much care should be given to handling our internal “customers”, as the ultimate consumer.
- Transports product to aisle and stocks shelves, maintaining allocations according to tags. These activities involve standing, walking, lifting and carrying loads frequently weighing more than 20 lbs and occasionally weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Maintain proper shelf conditions, to include: ordering and monitoring inventory levels, controlling the level of damaged goods.
- Maintain safe and clean sales floor area, to include: sweeping, mopping, clearing floors of pallets, cardboard and debris.
- Observe all policies and procedures established for the department.
- Provide exceptionally friendly and courteous customer service. Must be able to answer questions.
- Must dress according to company policy and maintain a neat, clean appearance at all times.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90 percent of the time. The individual needs to frequently move about inside the store and bend to stock and reach items on lower shelves. Must be able to continuously reach products that are located on lower and overhead shelves. Must frequently grasp product to prepare displays. The individual must be able to detect the quality of products throughout the production process. Must be able to exchange accurate information when servicing customers. The individual must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Work Environment
The individual that is performing this job may be exposed to temperatures as low as 30 degrees when working in the cooler for an extended period of time, as needed. They may be exposed to loud noises.
