Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute menus that meet the principals' dietary needs and preferences.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to plan menus, source ingredients, and manage kitchen operations.
- Take charge of kitchen operations when the Executive Chef is away.
- Enter menus and track expenses using our meal planning and accounting systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Lead by example and collaborate with household staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Manage kitchen logistics, including prep, organization, and maintenance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in high-end restaurants or private households.
- Expertise in modern French and Mediterranean cuisine.
- Passion for sourcing organic, seasonal, and local ingredients.
- SERVESAFE certification required.
- Ability to travel with the family to other homes for several weeks per year.
- Must be able to travel to the Hamptons in the summer.
- Strong leadership, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
