Davenport Community School District is currently hiring substitute teachers for the 2024-2025 school year
To substitute teach in the State of Iowa you must hold a current Iowa Teaching License, Iowa Substitute Teaching License, or Iowa Substitute Authorization License.

In order for an application to be considered complete, a copy of each of these documents must be uploaded with application:
- Current Iowa Teaching License, Iowa Substitute Teaching License, or Iowa Substitute Authorization License
- Current Iowa Mandatory Reporter Child Abuse certificate
- Current Iowa Mandatory Reporter: Dependent Adult Abuse certificate
2024-25 Pay Rates:
- Base Rate - $132/full day, $66/half day
- Long Term Rate (20 or more consecutive days for same classroom) $177/full day, $88.50/half day
- Retired Teacher rate - $177/full day, $88.50/half day
