The Pre-K Instructional Coach position encompasses support for all preschool teachers in the implementation of the District and Children’s Village Growing Excellence Plan. Candidates would need to be familiar with, and/or willing to learn, the Pre-K system and trainings, which include but are not limited to: GOLD, Early Childhood PBIS, Pyramid Model-PBIS and it’s systems: Pyramid Model Implementation Data System (PIDS), TPOT, etc., Creative Curriculum implementation, Conscious Discipline, and Special Education- Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) knowledge.
TLCS Prioritized Responsibilities:
Engage in Student-Centered Coaching cycles, which includes partnering with a teacher of record in a classroom for instruction, planning, and reflection. This also includes:
Co-planning for classroom instruction
Co-teaching & Modeling
Use of a Results-Based Coaching Tool
Feedback and reflection
Accompanying teachers on peer classroom visits
Leading professional learning
CTT Meetings as possible with flexible schedule
TLCS Additional Responsibilities:
BSAT Meetings as possible with flexible schedule
PD Planning
Data analysis/Reporting of data
Maintaining required shared calendar
Must be willing to support and implement Davenport’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and DCSD High Priority Initiatives for both behavior and academics.
Perform other duties as assigned
Additional 8 days with $5,000 stipend
Endorsement required: Must hold certificate in PreK1001 [Birth through Grade 3 Inclusive Settings endorsement] or PK-K Early Childhood Special Education
Relevant experience in the preschool field required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to -
- Sit, stand, speak, hear, see, and walk to carry out routine duties.
- Must be able to occasionally lift, move, or push items of 50 lbs. such as assisting children or moving/rearranging furniture.
- Must be able to supervise students in all types of weather.
- Meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
- Must be able to implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies, including appropriate physical restraint procedures and escorting.

3 years of experience teaching (required)
At least one year teaching in Davenport Community Schools (required)
Excellent attendance
Technologically proficient
Strong data analysis, organizational and leadership skills
Able to work as a team member
Possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse faculty
Serve as an active participant in MTSS, PBIS, NIET Rubric, CLR, and CTT staff development, collaboration, and implementation of strategies when appropriate.
