Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Professional Buyer to manage our procurement activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure continuity of supply.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues promptly.
- Inventory & Budget Control:
- Collaborate with inventory and production teams to align purchases with operational needs.
- Monitor budgets and analyze procurement trends for cost-efficiency.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier details.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role.
- Industry-specific experience is a plus (e.g., manufacturing, retail, etc.).
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Certifications (preferred):
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
