Job Summary:
As a CNC Turning Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathe machines to produce high-precision parts based on customer specifications. You will work closely with the production team to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained while meeting production deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC turning lathe machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
- Program and adjust CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages as required.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to tooling, speeds, and feeds as necessary.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Ensure safety protocols and guidelines are followed at all times.
- Work closely with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in CNC machining preferred.
- Minimum of [3] years of experience operating CNC lathe machines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and machine setup.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Prior experience with CNC turning or milling is a plus.
