About the Opportunity:

Davenport Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled beautician to provide professional salon services for our residents.

This is a unique opportunity to run your own salon within our facility, providing quality hair care to our senior residents in a warm and welcoming environment. As part of the team, you'll work closely with our Social Services Director to coordinate schedules and tailor services to meet the needs of our residents.

Beautician Key Responsibilities:

• Provide haircuts, styling, basic salon services (including color, perms, blowouts, and wash and sets) to residents.

• Coordinate with the Social Services Director to create and maintain an efficient appointment schedule.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized salon environment, following all sanitation and infection control procedures.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

• Safely store chemicals and supplies, ensuring the salon is locked and secured when not in use.

• Work independently, ensuring all salon services are provided in a professional and timely manner.

Beautician Qualifications:

• Licensed cosmetologist in the state of Florida.

• Minimum of one year of experience as a beautician, preferably with experience in a senior living or rehab setting.

• Must pass a criminal background check

• Proficient in performing men’s and women’s haircuts, styling, color, perms, blowouts, and wash and sets.

• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

• A compassionate, friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.

• Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
