About the Role :
As a Human Resources Consultant, you'll be a vital part of the HR team, working to ensure smooth benefits administration, and operation of systems, policies, and processes that support faculty, staff, and students. You'll manage HR records, benefits, and time-sensitive processes like FMLA, COBRA, and PTO, and provide guidance on various HR-related topics. This position reports to the Manager, Employee Experience & Benefits, and works to deliver top-notch benefits service.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain accurate HR records in HRIS, ATS, and benefits enrollment systems.
- Ensure data accuracy through audits, issue resolution, and system updates.
- Responsible for several time sensitive processes including but not limited to : The bi-weekly payroll deduction process, weekly changes census, FMLA log, and TIAA remittance files.
- Administer benefits-related processes (COBRA, PTO, FMLA, and more).
- Provide support with recruitment, onboarding, and compliance-related processes.
- Answer questions from employees and managers, offering guidance on benefits, FMLA, leave policies, and more.
- Present the Benefits portion of new hire orientation on a bi-weekly basis.
- Assist with event planning and logistics for HR-related activities.
- Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment and consistently deliver excellent customer service.
- Support ongoing HR projects and initiatives as needed.
